Suspected female serial killer, Gracious David West has confessed to killing two girls around Toyin Street, Ikeja area Lagos and Owerri beside the five killed in Port Harcourt, bringing the total number of girls killed by him to seven.
West was arrested on Thursday, September 19, 2019, along East-West Road enroute to Uyo from Port Harcourt
He made the confession on Friday when Police operatives in Rivers State paraded him before the media after he was arrested confessed culpability for the killings of women in the various states especially Rivers.
In a statement posted on Twitter to announce his arrest, police said David, 26, is a member of the Degbam cult group, adding that the suspect has made useful statements.
Explaining how he killed one of his victims, David confessed that he took a lady to a club and after discussing how much he would pay her, they went to a hotel in Port Harcourt.
He said, “We discuss how much I will pay her, after that we left the club to the hotel, I paid for the place and they took her to the room. After that I say let me go and arrange for food and we ate, after that we slept till when the day broke around 5:30 am, so I brought out a knife. She didn’t actually know that there was a knife there. I brought out the knife and told her that she should not shout that if she shout will use the knife on her. With that fear, she couldn’t shout by then the television volume was loud. So she kept quite after that I used the wrapper to tie her hands to the back and also tie her legs.”
The recent killings of women at different hotels in Rivers State gained public attention when a group of women took to the street to protest against strange killings of ladies in the state.
In August, police confirmed the killing of three women in three different hotels in the state, adding that two of them died by strangulation with a white piece of cloth hanging round their necks.
According to reports, the serial killer has been luring women to different hotels in the state since July 2019 to probably have sex with them and then strangle them with white cloths.
