Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State and his Deputy, Manir Dan’iya led other senior state government officials on Saturday evening to be administered with COVID19 vaccine.
The commissioner of Health in the State Dr Ali Iname who led the team of medical personnel administered the vaccine on the Governor, through his personal physician Dr Ibrahim Tambuwal at government house Sokoto .
The Governor took the vaccine along the Deputy Governor, Muhammad Manir Dan’iya and other top government officials in the State .
Speaking shortly after taking the vaccine Tambuwal implored the people of the state to avail themselves for the vaccination.
“I enjoined the people of the state especially the vulnerable to come forward and get vacinated against the deadly disease he stated
He further explained that prevention is better than cure noting that instead of running helter scepter in need of support it is better to take preventive measure to ensure that everyone is vaccinated.
When asked about the side effects of the vaccine the Governor said globally the success recorded so far is more than the side effects
