Sokoto Government condoles Lere Community over Emir’s Death, Garba Muhammed

A higher powered delegation from Sokoto State Government had on Sunday condoled the family of late Emir of Lere and Former Military Administrator of Sokoto State Brigadier General Abubakar Garba Muhammad who died on Saturday,  aged  77.

The delagation, led by the state Deputy Governor, Manir Muhammad Dan’iya were in Lere Local Government of Kaduna State on behalf of the  Governor, Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

Delivering the Condolences on behalf of Government and People of Sokoto Governor Tambuwal described Late Emir of Lere  as a true leader who sacrifices his life in serving humanity while in the military and the traditional leader.

Governor Tambuwal said “ The late administrator has left a mark when he spearhead the affair of the then Sokoto State from 1985 to 1986.

He described the late Emir as a courageous and hardworking individual who the history of Sokoto State will not be complete without his inputs, and said surely Sokoto will forever remain grateful to him.

He prayed unto Allah to forgive his short comings and reward him with Jannatul Firdaushi.

Speaking on behalf of the Late Emir Family, the Madakin Lere Alhaji Sulaiman Umar commend Governor  Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for sending the high powered delation under his Deputy Manir Dan’iya for the condolences.

He narrated how the late Emir retained high regard not only for Sokoto State but also the Governor. He said the Emir always give positive recount of Sokoto as one of the states he worked as a military man.

He thanked the People and Government of Sokoto for the Visit in Lere  Kaduna State and prayed Allah to return the delegation back to Sokoto Safely.

Prayers were offered for the repose soul of the late Emir.

A statement by the Director of Press to the Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar, said the Sokoto State delegation also includes the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo, the Party Secretary Alhaji Abubakar Zaki Bashire among other party officials.
