The kebbi state commandant of kebbi peace corps, Abubakar jubrin has urged the senate to speedily pass the peace corps bills before them, which he said already got the nod of the senate twice at the planery.
According to him if the bill scales all the hurdles and get the presidential assent it will give the corps the needed legal backing to function well and contribute their quota to the success and progress of the country.
As the name implies jubrin said peace corps will among other things restore peace and unite a country highly polarised through diplomacy and using the technic of conflict resolution, he noted that, his command his excited by the functions added to the corp by the senate which include manning the airport and other strategic places in the country, he particularly commended Lawan led senate for their approval of the peace corps bill and urged them to do more to ensure it gets to where it supposed to.
The state peace corps chief also call on his members to continue to support the state command as they all patiently awaits the final stroke that will break the camel’s back establishing the peace corps, he thanked the state governor Senator Atiku Bagudu for the enabling environment created by him for peace corps to exist in kebbi state.
