Super Eagles made it an impressive start as their campaign for their fourth Africa Cup of Nations victory. Thanks to clinical finish by Kelechi Iheanacho whose first time volley at the dot of 30 minutes made the difference between the three-time cup winners and the record seven times holders.

Aribo headed the ball to Iheanacho after a Simon cross and the Leicester City man fires a wonderful half-volley into the roof of the net!
The goal was a morale booster as the Super Eagles began to dominate.Thriller from beginning to end, it was very veery explosive as the hitherto sluggish Super Eagles defence burst into an unprecedented sharpness to neutralise one of the world’s most prolific strikers, Mohamed Salah.

With the win, the prospects of Nigeria leading the group is very high.
