Former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko on Saturday led a high powered delegates to Gidan Magana, in Shagari local government area, to Condoles the families and people of the village over the recent boat accident.
Recalled that not less than 29 , mostly teenagers were lost as a result of Boat Mishap which happened in the village on Tuesday
Wamakko, who is also the Senator representing Sokoto South senatorial district, while commiserating with the people of the village, also announced the donation of 100 thousand naira for each of the twenty nine lives lost.
Wamakko, who was accompanied to the village by the former deputy governor and Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, prayed for the repose of the departed soul.
While urging the families to take solace in God, who knows why everything happens to every soul, the former governor also announced a donation of 100,000 naira cash each for the district head as well as chief Imam of the village.
Also on his entourage is the former minister for Transportation, Yusuf Suleiman, Prof. Maitafsir among others.
