Governor Alex Otti of Abia state has inaugurated the 9th Council of Abia State Council of Traditional Ruler with a charge to them to assist government in fighting crimes and drive development of projects of economic potentials in their various communities.

Otti who titled his speech “Rebuilding Abia Traditional Rulers Institution in Abia” congratulated the Chairman, Eze Linus Nto Mbah and other Principal officers of the Traditional Rulers Council for passing through the proverbial crucibles to emerge as chairman and principal officers adding that there were meticulous chosen based on their integrity.

He said that his administration would no longer absorb Roal fathers who dot not have knowledge of events happening in their and encourage them to assist in curbing criminality in their various domains.

“Our interest is to develop rural communities so that graduates will no longer tavel to the urban areas looking for jobs. You should be wary of what is happening in your domain. You are expected to use both scientific and traditional ways in governing our domains”said the Abia governor.

In his response, Chairman of Abia Royal fathers Eze Linus Nto Mbah on behalf hiscolleagues thanked Governor Otti for finding them worthy to pilot the affairs of Abia Council of Traditional Rulers.

He promised that all the traditional Ruler would assist government in waging war against crime and criminality in their various domain and commended Otti for launching the “Operation crush” which the bedrock to improve security in the state.

Other Principal officers are: Eze Nelson Nmerengwa 1st Deputy Chairman, Eze Franklin Nwosu, 2nd Deputy Chairman and  Uwakwe Ukaegbu, 3rd Deputy chairman.
