Youths from Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State have reaffirmed their resolve not to support Senator Mao Ohuabunwa’s re-election bid for 2019o while urging him to drop his ambition due to an alleged poor representation.
Speaking with journalists during a civic reception organised for Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu by Abiriba Community recently, the President general Ohafia Youth Forum (OYF) and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on grass root mobilization Comrade Ifekwe Udo Emetu said the Senator should rather forget the plan than to waste his resources for 2019 as the zone has already rejected him.
According to the SSA, the Senator has failed woefully to meet up with peoples mandate and expectation, saying the entire youths in the zone have concluded plans to replace him with the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Senator aspirant Chief David Ogbaa Onuoha popularly known as “Budex”.
The SSA to the Governor however said the youths in the zone are solidly behind Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, National Assembly member presently Arochukwu/Ohafia at the Federal House, Hon. Uko Nkole, member representing Ohafia North at the State Assembly Hon. Mandela Obasi and the host of others whom he claimed have collectively represented the people well and deserves re-election in 2019.
The President General applauded State Commissioner for Information Hon. John Okiyi Kalu and other notable stakeholders in Abiriba Community for attracting Governor Ikpeazu to honour the historic civic reception, assuring that the youths have obtained permanent voter card (PVC) ready for next year general election.
