La Liga president Javier Tebas has affirmed that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe will make the move to Real Madrid next season.

Following Mbappe’s announcement last week that he will depart PSG at the end of his contract this summer, speculation about his next destination has been rife, with Madrid emerging as the likely destination after years of pursuit.

Tebas stated to Argentine sports newspaper Ole on Monday, “He’s Madrid’s next season, yes. If they’ve signed a five-year deal, he has five seasons of opportunity.”

The imminent arrival of Mbappe adds another star to the formidable lineup at Madrid, alongside talents like Brazil’s Vinicius Junior and England’s Jude Bellingham.

While acknowledging Mbappe’s exceptional talent, Tebas also highlighted the strength of Madrid’s overall squad, noting that success in competitions like the Champions League is not guaranteed solely by individual brilliance.

Mbappe, PSG’s all-time leading scorer with 256 goals, has enjoyed immense success with the club, winning six French league titles but falling short in the quest for Champions League glory.

By joining Real Madrid, a club with a record 14 Champions League titles, Mbappe aims to bolster his chances of achieving this coveted trophy, further solidifying his status as one of the world’s top players.
