After a brief stint in police custody, controversial Nigerian artist, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, is making headlines once again—this time, with a musical response to his recent arrest.

Portable, who faced arrest for allegedly defaulting on payments for his G-Wagon SUV, teased fans with a snippet of his upcoming track titled “Spiderman.” Produced by 2tuponthebeat, the song cleverly references the singer’s evasive maneuvers during his encounter with law enforcement, portraying him as a figurative superhero with flying powers.

The incident, captured in a viral video, depicted Portable scaling a gate to evade arrest, adding another chapter to the artist’s controversial saga. Despite spending 24 hours in custody, the “Zazuu” crooner promptly resumed his creative endeavors upon release, using his experiences as inspiration for his music.

This isn’t the first time Portable has courted controversy. In March 2023, he made headlines for cursing and rough-handling police officers—a stunt that led to his arrest by the Ogun State Police Command. Refusing to comply with police invitations, Portable faced further legal trouble and was subsequently remanded at the Ilaro Correctional Centre on charges of assault and theft.

Undeterred by legal challenges, Portable’s latest musical endeavor serves as a testament to his resilience and creative spirit, captivating audiences with his unique blend of artistry and real-life drama. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of “Spiderman,” Portable continues to defy expectations, solidifying his status as a boundary-pushing figure in the Nigerian music scene.
