The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, said he is not aware of Super Eagles coach Finidi George’s resignation. This follows reports that Finidi resigned after the NFF announced plans to hire a foreign technical adviser due to poor performances in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Super Eagles have only three points from four games, causing public outrage. Reports suggest Finidi is frustrated with the NFF’s handling of logistics and support for the team. However, Gusau responded to inquiries stating he is “Not yet aware” of any official resignation.
