The Lagos State Police Command has updated the general public on the ongoing investigation regarding the activities of one Engr. Chibuike Azubike, who was recently arrested for acclaiming himself as the “Obi of Lagos”.

It was gathered on Thursday that the suspect was arrested following intelligence suggesting planned unveiling of N1.5 billion Palace of the purported Obi Palace in the state.

The event was scheduled to take place at the Apple Hall, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos on September 13.

In an update on Thursday night, the command in a statement by its Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi B. Oluseyi said investigation revealed that the suspect is not a qualified engineer but merely a supplier of construction materials to construction companies.

According to the statement, Azubike made the confession to the police during interrogation.

The PPRO also revealed that further findings indicated that the planned unveiling of the “Obi of Lagos Palace” was fraudulently designed.

According to him, the planned event was merely a ploy to swindle unsuspecting personalities and other Nigerians of their hard-earned money.

The investigation further established that the principal suspect “acted alone, without the backing or recognition of any legitimate chieftaincy authority”.

“Members of the public are therefore enjoined to disregard his claims and other misleading publications on social media aimed at causing disaffection among the peace-loving people of Lagos.

“Meanwhile, investigation is ongoing, and all suspects involved will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of the investigation”, the PPRO added.

  2. I recently read the article at https://globalhairdubai.com/why-dubai-is-preferred-for-hair-transplant/?lang=ar and found it very informative and reassuring. The detailed explanations, practical aftercare advice, and focus on natural-looking results really stood out. As someone researching hair restoration options, I appreciated the balance between medical detail and clear, patient-friendly language. The article addressed common concerns like pain, recovery time, and realistic expectations, which helped reduce my anxiety about the procedure. The clinic’s emphasis on experienced surgeons and personalized treatment plans also made a strong impression. I liked that the content discussed both FUE and complementary therapies like PRP, explaining how they work together to boost outcomes. Overall, this piece increased my confidence in choosing a reputable clinic in Dubai and convinced me to book a consultation. Thank you for sharing such a thorough resource—it’s a valuable contribution to anyone considering hair restoration in the UAE.
