Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has vowed to complete all ongoing and new infrastructure projects without resorting to loans, pledging that every project initiated under his watch will be fully executed and fund

The Governor made the declaration on Friday at the groundbreaking ceremony for township road projects in Rigasa Ward, Igabi Local Government, and Zango Road in Tudun Wada, Kaduna South Local Government Area.

Governor Sani empzed that contractors had already received 50 per cent mobilisation fees and assured prompt payments upon completion. “The projects will be fully funded. We will not abandon any road or bridge. Kaduna will not accumulate debt for infrastructure,” he said.

Rigasa, described as one of the most populous wards in Nigeria, has long suffered from neglect despite its proximity to the city centre. The Governor said the new road projects were not just about infrastructure but about opening up opportunities for farmers, civil servants, traders, and the urban poor who contribute significantly to the state’s GDP.

He also appreciated the strong electoral support from Rigasa, which accounted for 32 per cent of votes from Igabi during the 2023 governorship election. “This is my way of saying thank you for your trust and support,” he added.

At Zango Road, Tudun Wada, the Governor highlighted the importance of the project, which connects key locations such as the Zango Cattle Market, Islamic Medical Foundation, School of Health Technology, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi College, and links directly to Kaduna city centre and the Nnamdi Azikiwe Western Bypass.

Governor Sani explained that the first phase of his Rural Revitalisation Agenda covered 785 kilometres across 85 roads, with 44 completed. The second phase now involves more than 50 new roads and bridges covering 550 kilometres.

He concluded with a firm assurance: “No project will be abandoned. We will complete what we start, and every community will feel the impact of governance.”
