SWAN

The State Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Sokoto State, Pastor Umaru Danladi John, has called on journalists to remain committed to truth, honesty, and accuracy in the discharge of their professional duties.

Pastor Danladi John made the call on Sunday during a special thanksgiving service held in honour of the 60th anniversary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) at the church auditorium in Sokoto.

He stressed that no meaningful development can take place in any society without the dissemination of accurate and truthful information, urging members of the media to see their work as a sacred responsibility to the nation.

“The progress of any nation depends largely on the integrity of its information system. Journalists must therefore be upright, objective, and sincere in their reportage,” the cleric said.

Pastor Danladi John congratulated SWAN members across the country on the Diamond Jubilee milestone and prayed for a hitch-free and successful celebration of the association’s 60th anniversary.

The nationwide Diamond Jubilee Celebration of SWAN is scheduled to hold from October 29 to 31, 2025, at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Package B, Abuja. The event will feature a symposium, an award night, and a gala to honour outstanding contributions to sports journalism in Nigeria

Your web site provided us with valuable info to work on. You’ve done an impressive job and our entire community will be grateful to
    you.

  2. Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive
a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
