Mrs. Chinwe Maduike, an International Consultant/Special Adviser on Investment, Diaspora and Development Partners to the African Union  Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU ECOSOCC) Nigeria,  has stated that Nigeria’s agricultural value chain has remained highly under-developed, a situation that negativelyimpacted on the agricultural sector, and resulted in huge revenue loss to Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Maduike lamented that raw materials from agricultural sector are often exported without any value addition.

According to her, “AU ECOSOCC recognises the fact that most raw materials from the sector are exported without any value addition, resulting in loss of huge revenues and jobs.

“Agricultural value chains hold considerable promise in reducing poverty and promoting inclusive growth when the poor and other marginal groups participate in them.

“Under the right conditions, value chains can move small-holder farmers from subsistence into commercial agriculture.

“Our projects aim to achieve self-sufficiency and deepen diversification, increasing private sector participation, the quality and safety standards of agricultural products, improving institutional and financial frameworks, promoting national policies that support the agricultural sector; by reducing barriers to inputs, increasing access to finance and providing incentives, creating an enabling environment and improving market access through capacity building and training inputs.”

She underscored the need for massive investments in the sector to increase production and create value addition in the sector, adding that the ongoing projects initiated by ECOSOCC were designed to addressing the gaps discovered, through the help of key, government ministries, international partners and experts in the agricultural field.

The Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) is an advisory body of the African Union designed to give civil society organisations (CSOs) a voice within the AU institutions and decision-making processes.

Restoration Marketing Pros 104 Main St Bloomsburg, PA 17815 (904) 657-4138 Your go to pros for exclusive restoration leads Arnold Baker Founder Of Restoration Marketing Pros – Generating exclusive, hyper targeted water damage leads (live calls) for over a decade! The Ultimate Guide to Exclusive Water Damage Restoration Leads Are shared restoration leads killing your profit margin? If you run a water damage restoration company, everything ultimately depends on the flow of new leads coming in. No matter how skilled your crew is, you cannot grow without a consistent pipeline of people who urgently need water mitigation help. Because of this, more and more restoration companies are searching for dependable sources of qualified, ready-to-book water damage prospects. The hard truth is that a lot of popular lead generation channels for restoration work are designed to benefit the platform, not the contractor. A typical marketplace will send the exact same flooded-basement lead to three, four, or even five competing restoration companies. That instantly turns every new lead into a price war where the cheapest quote usually wins. The smarter strategy is to shift from shared leads to exclusive leads that are delivered only to you. With exclusivity, your company is the sole restoration provider speaking to that property owner about their water damage emergency. That gives you room to talk about your response time, certifications, and reputation instead of just lowering your price. If you want to take things even further, live transfer phone calls are the gold standard of water damage leads. Live transfers mean the lead has already been screened and is immediately connected to your office or on-call phone. You are no longer dialing old submissions and leaving voicemails; you are talking to motivated customers at the peak of their urgency. Water damage mitigation is a time-sensitive business where fast response is one of your biggest competitive advantages. In those moments, property owners are focused on who can arrive quickly and handle the situation professionally. Because of this timing, live transfers convert into booked jobs at a much higher rate than cold or shared leads. Building a predictable pipeline of exclusive water damage calls requires either serious in-house marketing or a specialized partner. Generic lead companies often treat water damage like any other home service, which leads to poor results. You should look for a team or platform that lives and breathes property damage restoration marketing. At the same time, you should be building your own long-term marketing assets so you are not dependent on outside platforms forever. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) helps you show up when customers search for things like “water damage cleanup near me.” Paid search campaigns allow you to ramp up lead volume fast when you need more jobs. Your online reviews and reputation act as the trust signal that convinces people to call you instead of your competitors. Putting all of this together creates a marketing machine that feeds your business with steady, profitable water damage work. You move from reactive and uncertain to proactive and in control of your pipeline. That is the path from being “just another contractor” to becoming the go-to restoration company in your market.
