Destiny Beckons as Usani Uguru Usani Set to Make History in Cross River State.

Destinies of men are usually weaved in mystery, but men of destiny most alwaysprepare to lay hold of opportunities. In that, destiny becomes ‘opportunity meets preparation’ as Abraham Lincoln would say. Therefore, the destiny of Cross River State – the Peoples Paradise beckons on all Crossriverians to chose wisely in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections of the state. Hon. Usani Uguru Usani of All Progressive Congress (APC) is the man of destiny.

The struggle for the State APC governorship ticket is over and the winner Hon.Usani Uguru Usani has since closed ranks with his co-contestants in view of the big fight with the faction in the state for the 2019 governorship seat of the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been in power in the state for twenty (20) long years since the return of civil rule in 1999. The party has produced the likes of Donald Etim Duke (1999-2007), Liyel Imoke (2007-2015) and the governor Benedict Ayade (2015 till date). 20 years after, like everything in life that has a beginning, there is also an ending. The party PDP has made its mark in the state, but the state is yet to become the dream paradise that it rightfully ought to be. What we see now is decay and governance misadventure all around the state. Governance in the hands of the PDP has since plateauedand now is making a fast and steeps descend down to nowhere other than decadence.

The time to counter this rapid descend to nowhere with the force of good governance is now, and the man for the rescue is Hon.Usani Uguru Usani. The Hon.Usani Uguru Usani understands that the dynamics of governance berths foremostly at the corridor of the grassroot. For him, the populace is the reason for politics, and politics is governance and governance is service to the people. In marshalling out his policy thrust, Usani Uguru has identified governance leakages in the system that has to be plugged to save the state millions of naira. This is destiny calling. The man Hon. Usani Uguru Usani is a man of destiny. He knows exactly the right economic policy mix and choices for the state to place it among real commercial, vibrant business, tourist and hospitality hub in Nigeria.

Cross River state has the capacity to compete with Liverpool, Brazil, Malaysia, and Dubai. The land and the people are blessed and placed at the center of wealth and tourism attractiveness. Nature is benevolent to the state with weather that is like no other anywhere in the world.  The Tinapa, Obudu ranch and the Carnival are just a nail scratch on the surface of the potential of the state. Dubai has by preparation and opportunity of leadership like Hon. Usani Uguru Usani is presenting created the world’s most attractive leisure and tourism scenery out of a desert. By 1983, the whole of Dubai was a vast waste of desert land. It is magical what it has become today. Many money bags from the world over have made Dubai a safe haven for domiciling and investment of free funds.

The man for the rebirth of Cross River state is Hon.Usani Uguru Usani. With him, Cross River is about to witness that sort of transformation that will lift up the destinies of Crossriverians. It is our destiny that beckons. How will we respond? Simply, by voting en mass for Hon.Usani Uguru Usani as governor, Cross River State in the forthcoming election. If we do, the lines of ‘the road not taken’, by the American Poet, Robert Frost would also be said of us as a people that:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

And that has made all the difference.

Indeed Crossriverians, as we prepare to go to the polls, let’s make our votes count by the choices we make. If we take the less traveled road of these two roads (APC and PDP) which diverge in a wood, we shall not only heave a sigh of relieve but will also be gratified ages to come that our choice in 2019 has made all the difference for our state to truly become the ‘peoples’ paradise’.Enough of the decay. Enough of the decadence. This is our common call – we are one people; one state and we hold one destiny!
