Following the sacking of Coach Ngozi Elechi, the management of Yobe Desert Stars, has appointed Taiye Yusuf as the new technical adviser,until the end of the season.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the club’s Media Officer Jibo Zakariin a press statement in Damaturu.
According to Zakari, the Club’s Managing Director Abdulrahaman Ago had earlier visited the team to confirm Taiye Yusuf as the new Technical Adviser saying he is confident the team will do better in its subsequent matches of the season.
“The coach (Taiye Yusuf) has served the team right from the lower division to the Nigeria elite league, he has acquired a lot experience and I’m sure he would pass it to the players”
“I call on the players to give their maximum support for us to get the result we want”, the statement reads in part.
All eyes will be on the new Technical adviser on Sunday as the Yobe Desert stars plays against their regional rival Gombe United.
Yobe Desert Stars is at the bottom of the Nigeria professional football league group B standing with 10 points from 12 games.
