The Freehand concept in collaboration with Kebbi Innovation & Tech Hub and Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy, on Saturday, flagged off the training of at least 22 persons on digital economy in Birnin Kebbi.
The Association is a group of Talented Individuals come together with a wealth of experiences in the state with a zeal to train unemployed Youth on waste to wealth creation and other social trades to close the gap between the ables and the physically challenged.
State Coordinator of FREEHAND CONCEPT ,Bashar Bala Musa Sakaba, (Bin Talba) said that the vocational training will last for one week for each Batch which seeks to equip the disabled with background skills and know-how to add significance values on the digital economy.
According to him, 22 persons will undergo the training as the first batch while other batches will follow till a very high number of persons with disabilities and non disability get the training with a view to creating a tech hub in the state.
Earlier, in his speech, the State Chairman, of Kebbi Investment Promotion Agency Alhaji Muhammed Audi described the training as the first of it kind in Kebbi State, saying the investment company would continue to support the freehand concept as it is prepared to give the disabled reasons to live like any member of the society through the training on the digital economy, which he said is the current global trend to smooth economic growth.
The Training was first Sponsored by the S.A to the Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic planning before getting the attention of other spirited persons in the society, while calling on both ables and the physically challenged to take advantage of the training, he urged the well to do in the society to key in by supporting the training in which ever way they can as it will go along way in reducing poverty and unemployments among the youths.
