The chairman of BUA Group, one of the leading company in the provision of cement in Nigeria, Abdulsamad Rabiu, has disclosed plans of the group to commissioned a new cement factory plant in Sokoto come January 2024.
The chairman stated this in his remarks while congratulating the governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, over his recent electoral success, assures of total support for his government.
He disclosed that the company is working tirelessly to ensure that the new line under construction in the state will be commissioned by January, 2024.
“Your Excellency, it will interest you to know that I was in Abuja yesterday where I have opportunity to meet Mr President.
“I personally inform him of the plan by the company to commissioned our new plant currently under construction in Sokoto here by January 2024.
“I told him that the management will be glad to have him as a special guest to commissioned the plant in Sokoto here”
“BUA cement in Sokoto here still remains the highest private business with more workforce in the whole of Northwest, and this is because of the enabling environment we enjoyed here in Sokoto.
“I must also tell you sir that apart from our social intervention, it also worthy to note that it is only here in Sokoto that any residents can walk down to the factory and buy a bag of Cement at rate of 3,500 naira only”
The chairman however assured that the company will continue to prioritize the interest of the host communities in the state in the provision of more social interventions.
In his remarks, the governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, commend BUA group for it’s support to the people of the state through various social interventions programme.
The governor described the various social responsibilities embark upon by the company in the state as incredible, assuring of continuous support of his administration to investors in the state.
