The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has initiated the sale of 2024 e-tags, which will allow entry into the 24 federal airports across the country. This development was announced on Friday and aligns with a presidential directive approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

FAAN’s statement, provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, emphasized that all users of federal airports are required to pay charges at the gates as mandated by the FEC meeting.

Mr. Francis Ajaguna, Head of Public Affairs at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), confirmed to NAN that there has been a significant response, with many people purchasing the e-tags. “FAAN’s Commercial Department confirms that it has started issuing the e-tags and people are buying them,” Ajaguna stated.

The introduction of e-tags is part of FAAN’s efforts to streamline access control and enhance security across Nigeria’s federal airports.
