As flights resume this Saturday at the domestic wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN says they are putting their facilities to test in line with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority guidelines and world health organisation WHO protocols.
It was about five months since the restrictions on domestic flights was handed down by the federal Government due to rapid spread of the novel Coronavirus in the Country.
And prior to the maiden flight after lifting the restrictions, Passengers thronged the Airport with face masks and observing physical distancing.
Felix Akinbinu, Port Harcourt Airport manager, described the opening as relief to the travellers using the Airport which was echoed by Some travellers afters months of flights suspension.
They believe that with the measures in place, flights from Port Harcourt will continue to be WHO compliant.
