The Abia Think-Tank Association (ATTA) is poised to convene one of the most intellectually significant gatherings of the year as it prepares to host the much-anticipated ATTA Symposium 2026, a forum designed to bring together policymakers, scholars, professionals, and forward-thinking citizens to interrogate the pressing challenges confronting Abia State and chart a practical pathway for sustainable development.

The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Bola Memorial Hall, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos (near Sheraton Hotels) at 11:00 a.m. prompt.

At a time when the demand for bold ideas, evidence-driven policy, and accountable leadership has never been more urgent, the symposium promises to serve as a vital platform for rigorous dialogue, innovative thinking, and strategic collaboration aimed at shaping the future of Abia and its place within Nigeria’s evolving socio-economic landscape.

Under the compelling theme *“Renewed Nigeria’s Economic Resurgence: Is Abia Prepared?”*, the symposium will explore Abia State’s readiness to capitalize on Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms, investment inflows, and growth trajectory. Discussions will center on policy frameworks, infrastructure development, private sector partnerships, and strategies for sustainable sub-national progress.

The Chief Guest of Honour is His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, Executive Governor of Abia State, whose administration has driven notable gains including GDP growth, poverty reduction, job creation, and major infrastructure investments as reflected in the recently signed ₦1.016 trillion *“Budget of Acceleration and New Possibilities”* for 2026.

Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Uche Orji, former MD/CEO of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund Ltd.  The occasion will be chaired by Chief Chuku Wachukwu, former DG of the National Directorate of Employment.

Distinguished panelists include Prof. Ndubuisi Elekwue (Harvard Scholar, USA), Johnson Chukwu (MD/CEO, Cowry Assets), Dr. Uche Ogah (CEO, Masters Industrial Group), Sam Onukwue, MD, Mega Equity Ltd.

Sonny Iroche, DG, Abia League of Professionals will serve as moderator while the Special Guests of honour will include; Elder Dr. Uma Eleazu, Elder Prof. Anya O. Anya, Gen. Ikenwachukwu and some members of the NASS from Abia State and others.

This gathering of top professionals, academics, and policymakers promises insightful discourse on positioning Abia as a key player in Nigeria’s economic renewal. Media houses and the public are invited to attend and cover this timely economic event.
