The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended four individuals in connection with the recent killing of a barber in the Isale Oja Kuto area of Abeokuta last Wednesday. The incident was part of a violent outbreak between rival cult groups, which also resulted in the death of a 48-year-old POS operator, Fatai Kehinde, under the Kuto bridge on Friday night.

Kehinde, known locally as Faity and the son of the Baale (community leader) of Kuto, was brutally attacked and killed after being pursued by his assailants from his shop in Kuto market to the area beneath the bridge. He was buried the following Saturday.

Speaking to the press on Sunday, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police confirmed the arrests, stating, “We have successfully arrested four persons in connection with the killing of the barber by some suspected cultists a few days ago. We are also on the trail of others, and this is just to say that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state. We will apprehend everyone involved in the killings and make them answer for their misdeeds.”

The police have intensified efforts to bring all those involved in these violent acts to justice, underscoring their commitment to ensuring peace and security in the state.
