The 2024 Tony Awards, held at the Lincoln Center, saw a night of firsts and significant victories. Angelina Jolie and Daniel Radcliffe each secured their inaugural Tony Awards, marking notable achievements in their illustrious careers.

Angelina Jolie’s Triumph: Jolie’s production, “The Outsiders: A New Musical,” won the award for Best Musical. This win places Jolie halfway to achieving the coveted EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony).

Daniel Radcliffe’s Win: Radcliffe received the award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in “Merrily We Roll Along.”

Biggest Winner – “Stereophonic”: David Adjmi’s film adaptation “Stereophonic” emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, taking home five awards from its 13 nominations.

Multiple Wins:

  • Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ play “Appropriate” secured three awards.
  • Alicia Keys’ musical “Hell’s Kitchen” won two out of its ten nominations.
