
IN what seem like a deliberate attempt to give young talents the opportunity to showcase themselves, Nollywood Actor and Director, Mike Ezuruonye recently recruited a number of young and fast rising names in Nollywood to star in his upcoming romantic comedy titled Divorce not Married.
The movie, which was released on April 13, 2018, showcases the talents of the budding talents such as Efe Irele and Rotimi Salami, alongside already established Nollywood faces such as Mike Ezuruonye himself, Eniola Badmus, Iyabo Ojo, Angela Okorie amongst others.
Divorce Not Allowed depicts in a humorous manner; the different challenges many Nigerian couples face in their marriage and how they go about seeking solutions.
Speaking about the movie, Director Mike Ezuruonye who is also a main cast said, “Divorce Not Allowed is a movie that showed me a new dimension to work ethics in Nollywood. Working with these young exciting actors has been one of the biggest highlights of my career. I can’t wait for everyone to see them in action.”
Mike sees himself as a proper bridge to connect the gaps between different demographics of Nollywood and Africa. Asides the infusion of new vibrant talents in his movies, he also includes actors from the different ethnic groups of Nigeria and Africa to make effective the term the African Cinema his true reality.
An established Nollywood actor, who made his first appearance in 2003 when he appeared in Broken Marriage and eventually hit limelight with his role in Critical Decision, Ezuronye has gone on to appear in scores of movies and etch his name as one of the highly ranked actors in the industry. Divorce Not Allowed is his latest work, as a Director. The movie is expected to hit cinemas across Nigeria, Ghana, UK and US from April 13.
