The Nigeria Police Force has invited Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh to its headquarters in Abuja as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of criminal defamation, cyberbullying, forgery, and other related charges. The invitation, issued by the Inspector-General of Police’s Monitoring Unit, was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi.
According to a letter dated August 5, 2024, and signed by the Head of the IGP Monitoring Unit, DCP A.A. Elleman, Dikeh’s name has come up prominently in the investigation. The letter requests her presence for an interview on August 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM, to provide clarification on the allegations.
ACP Adejobi stated that the invitation followed a petition filed against the actress. He further confirmed that Dikeh has since responded to the invitation and has been released, with the investigation ongoing.
