Admission process into Nigeria’s No.1 Private University, Covenant, will continue in earnest on Monday, September 7, 2020, with the academic aptitude screening of applicants.
The Covenant University Scholastic Aptitude Screening (CUSAS) is a mandatory screening test of the institution for prospective students. It is held once a year before the beginning of the academic year.
However, unlike previous years, this year’s CUSAS is being held virtually in observance of the social distance rule occasioned by the COVID-19 caused by a new strain of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) previously unidentified in humans.
Covenant has been able to transmute seamlessly from the usual physical screening to the virtual, courtesy the state-of-the-art Information Communication Technology infrastructure of the University.
Candidates already had information on all the processes for successful screening. The University enjoins parents and guardians to provide the necessary equipment and data for their wards to ensure a smooth exercise.
Covenant had consistently been the most subscribed private institution by candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities. Competition is keen for admission to study in Covenant owing to the cutting edge world-class education and infrastructural facilities on offer at the institution.
Validations of the excellent education on offer at Covenant had not been in short supply. The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Adamu Abubakar Rasheed, stated that “Universities all over the world – the good ones – are ranked by reputations. This University is building a reputation, and the chief builder of this reputation is Dr David O. Oyedepo. Without the exploits of Covenant University, the initiative of allowing private individuals or organisations to run universities, taken many years ago, would have been a grand failure”.
The NUC and professional bodies fully accredit all programmes on offer at Covenant.
