Owner of a drinking bar commonly called Beer parlour in Wumba Apo village area of Abuja, Mr Chukwuma Uzuchukwu has been killed by suspected cultists operating in the area. According to an eyewitness, Uzochukwu, a native of Umuagwu, Umualugwa, Adu Achi in Oji River LGA area of Enugu state, was killed on Monday night.
The eye witness saidd that the suspected cultists numbering about 16 attacked and killed their victim in his shop at about 10pm. “His body has been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary in the area”.
“The scene of the incident was littered with blood of the victim and pieces of stones”. Said the eyewitness.
Although as at press time we could not get the police to confirm the incident, it was gathered that the matter was reported to the Apo Division of the Nigeria Police.
The eyewitness added “The deceased was taken to various morgues in Abuja but was rejected due to lack of space leaving the family with no other option than to convey the corpse to the village morgue”.
