Suspected hoodlums in the wake of the EnSARS protest in Lagos attacked Gabadis Nigeria Enterprises located at 127 Iju roads opposite Sterling Bank, Ifako Ijaiye, and Lagos, destroying and setting ablaze a story building and looting properties worth millions of naira.
Narrating her ordeal, Mrs Grace Adekunle whose husband Adebola Adekunle runs the shop noted that the hoodlums who came in their numbers on October 21st carted away; fifteen (15)units of 2HP freezing outdoor units, 7HP industrial cold store engines, vandalized 27kva generator and three (3) Industrial ICE BLOCK making machines.
She said the hoodlums also destroyed three chest freezers and burnt six of them, while stocks worth over one million naira were stolen.
She said that all efforts to get report from the police since the day of the incidence till date proved abortive as police have not returned to their duty post since the day of the incidence for fear of attack by the hoodlms.
Fagba area of Lagos also came into serious hoodlums attack during the EndSARS protest that was hijacked by notorious area boys as many shops and businesses were also looted and razed during the period.
While calling on the government to come to their rescue in a bid to get back into business, she commended the Lagos State government for rolling out funds to assist affected businesses who were touched by hoodlums during the EndSARS protest in Lagos.
It should be recalled that the Lagos State Government has set up a trust fund for residents in the state who have been victims of wanting destruction by hoodlums who hijacked the EndSARS protest in the state.
