Kebbi state chairman of National youth council of Nigeria (NYCN) comrade Aliyu Bunza has said that, the state chapter took the decision to throw its weight behind the cancer intervention that was initiated by the state first lady Doctor Zainab Atiku Bagudu which is currently going on not in kebbi alone but across the nation.
According to him available data to the youth body indicated no fewer than twenty thousands people across gender are benefiting from the cancer intervention, he added that not only female gender are prone to cancer even the male folk are included , he therefore called on the youth to reach out to the foundation in Kebbi for free cancer screening and counseling .
Comrade Ali stated that their primary function is to protect the youth against any thing that is harmful to them hence the need for them to intensify campaigns on the need for them to use available opportunities to save guard their lives.
In another development, the youth leader also urged youth in the state to key in the ongoing social intervention program of the federal government that was designed to lift millions out of poverty particularly the youth, therefore youth should be at the fore front no to lag behind, he stressed that as youth leader in the state he will ensure able bodied youth in Kebbi benefit from the ongoing excercise.
He thanked the governor for running a youth friendly government but called on him to appoint lots of youth in his cabinet for maximum performance, he assured him that youth in the cabinate will not disappoint the state.
