Sokoto State government has again on Tuesday announced another twelve positive case of coronavirus in the state.
The state according to a statement on the official Twitter handle account also on same day discharges five patients from the isolation centre having recorded negative in their latest result.
With the new development, the state now fifty three active case, the highest since the bearth of covid-19 in the country.
The total number of positive case recorded in the state since the first index case has also move to 247 cases, while the total number of discharged cases also move to 177 cases so far.
The statement further disclosed that the total number of test done so far in the state has also hits 11,570 out of which 11,323 of such are negative.
The total number of casualties recorded in the state from suspected case of coronavirus since inception also stands at 17, while not less than 1,443 samples of test is still pending.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for health Dr Muhammed Ali Inname, has urged residents of the state to keep to the protocols of as laid down by health experts against the spread of the virus in the state.
Inname who is also the chairman of the state tasks force against covid-19 assures that the state is doing everything humanly possible to bring the case of the virus to the bearest minimum.
