Some residents of Sokoto State have expressed fear over the increase figure of Covid-19 positive cases in the state of recent.
This is as a result of 31 new positive cases recorded in the state on Wednesday which makes the total number of confirmed cases in the state to jump to 278 positive cases.
They described the rise in the positive case in the second wave of covid-19 as worrisome for the people of Sokoto and calls for more cautions among residents of the state.
Meanwhile, Tribuneonlie gathered that the state which used to have a very low figure and even never recorded a single case for weeks is suddenly recorded high numbers.
According to a statement on the official Twitter handle of the state ministry of health as at Wednesday when another 10 patients was discharged, the state has now conducted 11,644 test out of which 11,366 of the samples were negative.
The statement further said with the new development, the state now also has it’s highest number of patients across the isolation centres as 74 cases are currently on treatment apart from another 10 that was discharged on Wednesday.
However, the state has not recorded any casualties in recent times as the total number of fatalities recorded in the state stands at 17.
