Sokoto State has continue to record an increase in positive case of coronavirus in the state.
According to a report on the official Twitter handle of the state ministry of health on Saturday, the state has recorded positive case in the last four days consecutively.
According to the statement, the state recorded nine positive case in three days to make the number of active cases in the state to 23 active case.
The statement further disclosed that the total number of test done in the state since the index case has jumped to 10,794 out of which a total number of 10,603 were negative.
The statement also explained that a total number of 150 cases have been successfully treated and discharged of Covid19 in the state.
Meanwhile, the state has so far recorded 17 casualties resulting from the complications of the virus out of total number of 191 confirmed cases.
Also, the state as at the time of filling this report has a total number of 1,347 result still pending.
According to the state Commissioner for health, Dr. Muhammed Ali Inname, urged residents of the state to observe all the protocols of guiding against the spread of the virus in the state
Inname, who is also the state chairman on task force on Covid19, warned that the virus is still very much around, calling on residents to take all necessary precautions.
