The SON WTO-TBT (World Trade Oganisation-Technical Barrier To Trade) desk office, has informed the general public of the outbreak of Crayfish Plague in the United Kingdom reported by the official of the World Trade Organisation of the United Kingdom.
SON said in a terse statement said,”we deem it necessary that we are cautious of this information as the importation of live white clawed Crayfish from United Kingdom, now has a temporary ban on it by some countries that imports such from there.”
The SON WTO-TBT desk office also alerted all staff on the notification received from JORDAN on a ban placed on the importation of Garlic from China after results of laboratory test carried out confirmed the presence of onion yellow draft virus (OYDV)
