Nigeria has discharged 707 Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of successfully treated cases to 39,964.
The number of patients discharged is almost 3 times higher than the 252 new cases that have been reported within the same period.
The 252 new Covid-19 infections were recorded in 18 states with the total number of confirmed cases in the country now 52,800.
The 18 states with new Covid-19 cases include Plateau-50; Enugu-35; Rivers-27; Lagos-26; FCT and Kaduna-18 each; Ekiti and Kano-10 each. Others are Taraba-9; Anambra, Edo and Oyo-8; Delta-7; Ogun-6; Abia and Bayelsa-5 each; Ebonyi and Osun-1 each
There are 3 more persons who died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours. This takes the national death toll to 1,007.
