The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has declared the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State, dead and buried.
The chairman stated this on Thursday in Sokoto during the Presidential campaign rally of the APC held at Gingiya stadium, Sokoto.
Adamu commended the former governor of Sokoto State and the leader of the party in the state, Senate Aliyu Wamakko, for his leadership qualities as well as mobilizing for the campaigns of the party.
The chairman also welcome the decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party to the party, led by Alhaji Umaru kwabo, who was a strong member of the PDP in the state.
Others include former commissioners for security, Col. Moyi Garuba and his counterpart from science and technology, Hajia Kulu Haruna former treasurer of the PDP, Murtala Abdulkadir among many others.
Speaking in his remarks, the Presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu, promised to ensure farmers get market available for their produce.
He also assured the people of the state that his administration if voted into office will ensure education is given priority as well as given support to farmers in the state.
Also speaking, President Muhammad Buhari, calls on people of Sokoto State to give their votes to the candidates of the party.
He said he was in Sokoto to hand over the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu, to the people of the state ahead of 2023 general elections.
Other speakers at the campaign ground include the Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, Ahmed Aliyu, former governor of the state, Aliyu Wamakko, Kebbi State governor, Atiku Bagudu.
Others include the Director General of the campaign, Senator Simeon Lalong, Speaker of the Federal House of Representative, Femi Gbajabiamila among many others.
