The Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State on Friday resumes it’s Gubernatorial campaign in Goronyo local government area of the state with a promise to improve on the legacies of Aminu Tambuwal led administration in the state.
Speaking while addressing party supporters in Goronyo, the Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, Sa’idu Umar, assured members of the state that his administration if voted into office will ensure equal distribution of dividends of democracy across the state.
He also disclosed that his administration will work in synergy with security agencies in bringing lasting peace to the state.
Speaking earlier in his remarks, the Senatorial candidate of the party in Sokoto East, Honorable Gwanda Gobir, said he is in the race to win the election.
The former member of the Federal House of Representatives, while reacting to the rumour of his defection to the APC, said he remain a member of the PDP with no intention to dump the party.
Gobir further disclosed that he never has any deal or agreement with any political party to dump PDP.
Also speaking, the chairman of the party in the state, Aliyu Goronyo, described the leadership of All Progressive Congress in the state as daydreamers over claim of mass defection from PDP.
He said members of the party in the state are as united as ever are ready to win the forthcoming general elections in the state.
