Residents of Anambra State on Saturday head to the polls to get a representative in the National Assembly to occupy the Anambra Central Senatorial seat.
Many have expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election including the Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke. While casting his vote at Uruekwu ward in Enugwukwu, Okeke commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for smooth conduct of the election.
Also at Enugwu Ukwu, the member representing Njikoka, Anaocha and Dunukofia, Dozie Nwankwo expressed satisfaction with the conduct of INEC and the security agencies.
The senatorial candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh voted at Aguluzoigbo ward, polling unit 018. He was at the polling unit in company of his wife and children.
In Amawbia ward three in Awka South Local Government Area, the National Chairman of APGA, Victor Oye while casting his vote commended INEC, adding that the commission has performed above average and conclusively has become what an electoral umpire should be globally.
