Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his best wishes to President Bola Tinubu on the completion of his first year in office.
In a statement issued by his former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari congratulated Tinubu and urged all citizens to strengthen national unity and goodwill.
“The former president also appealed to them to give their blessings and support to the Tinubu administration so that it can succeed in its efforts to build a Nigeria of our dreams,” the statement said.
Buhari wished Tinubu a successful tenure and encouraged Nigerians to back the current administration’s efforts to improve the nation.
Buhari, a former military general who served two terms from 2015 to 2023, handed over to Tinubu on May 29, 2023, following Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election two months earlier.
