Twenty three members of Authority Pentecostal mission Umuahia were on Sunday 15thApril 2018 ordained Pastors, Elders, Deacons and Evangelists.

Performing the ordination during the church service to mark the 15th anniversary of the church, the present general overseer Rev. Mrs. Favour Amaka Okoli charged them to use their new positions to do more work for God especially “In this dispensation where wickedness is painted as good, injustice popularly accepted, poverty, many are under the manipulation and yoke of the wicked, divisions and denominations highly celebrated and spiritual coldness very visible and needed to be revived”.

Among the 23 ordained, a journalist comrade Francis Nwaubani of BCA and a Newspaper distributor in Umuahia Edwin Ogbuagu were ordained as Elders.

In his Sermon, the guest Pastor Christian Ekechukwu stressed the need for Christians to live exemplary lives by shunning vices capable of bringing disrepute to not only them but to their entire families.

“Any Christian woman that disrespects her husband because she is the bread winner of the family has not fulfilled her mandate. No matter the wealth of a woman, she must be submissive to her husband”. He said.

The General Overseer of the Authority Pentecostal Mission Rev. Mrs. Okoli while fielding questions from journalists after the church service thanked God for his grace for the church since its inception 15 years ago despite various challenges.

“Whatever God is not involved suffers setbacks, struggles and kind of unthinkable defeats. But if God is fully involved adversaries, oppositions and challenges are stepping stones to greatness.

“I Thank God for Authority Pentecostal Church for what God is doing through the church to humanity within 15 years of unprecedented grace, unbridled and undaunted confidence because God is fully involved in its affair . God is the caller, He is the saver, He is the leader while we all are followers”.

Our correspondent reports that the high point of the service was the cutting of cake to mark the 15th Anniversary of the church.

End.
