As christians globally braces for Christmas and new year celebrations, the Kebbi State commandant of the Nigeria security and civil defence corps Sulaiman Ibrahim Mafara has said that, his command deployed no fewer than 1000 officers and men to churches and recreational centers across the State, the contingent according to him are to secure the strategic places during yulitide.

He explained that, for effective intelligence gathering plain cloth personnel are among those drafted for the extra duties of Christmas and new year celebrations in Kebbi State.

According to the commands image maker DSC Akeem B Adeyemi as part of continued efforts to secure the state, deployed personnel will also man places where they are national assets to ensure none attacked or vandalized during and after the festive period, he urged members of the public to assist the command with useful information that will lead to the arrest of criminals in the State, adding that Community policing is critical to effective policing of the entire state, while wishing the huge christian faithfuls in the state merry and hitch free Christmas and new celebrations he called on them to be law abiding and to observe covid19 protocols during the peak of their celebrations.
