The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted a two-week bail to Abba Kyari, the former commander of the Force Intelligence Response Team, to bury his mother and attend to other personal matters.
The court, in a ruling delivered by trial Justice Emeka Nwite, okayed the release of the defendant from Kuje prison, where he was earlier remanded, to enable him to participate in his mother’s final burial rites. The court granted temporary freedom to the defendant for a period not exceeding two weeks.
