Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu will unveil the world’s largest painting portrait on canvas today at Eagles Square, Abuja, in celebration of Nigeria’s 25th anniversary of democracy.

Opeyemi Alaba, the coordinator of the painting, shared in an interview with Arise News that this monumental piece serves as a message of hope for Nigerians and the African continent. He disclosed that the painting is a collaborative work of 37 artists, each representing one of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Inspired by iconic portraits of former U.S. President Barack Obama and Queen Elizabeth, the theme of the painting remains a closely guarded secret until the unveiling.

This unveiling is a highlight of the Democracy Day celebrations, during which President Tinubu delivered a national address tackling various national issues. He reaffirmed his commitment to democracy and urged Nigerians to remain hopeful for a brighter future.

Additionally, Tinubu announced that the Federal Government and organized labour had reached a consensus on the new minimum wage. He stated that an executive bill would soon be presented to the National Assembly to formalize this agreement.

As Nigeria marks this significant milestone, the unveiling of the world’s largest painting portrait symbolizes a collective vision for unity and progress.
