After spending two weeks in the DSS custody for yet to be proved reasons Nasiru Jatau and his wife Aisha a mother of Six month old baby has finally being released.
Recall that The New Narrative Newspaper last week reported about the incarceration of the family by the Kebbi State Governor , who instructed the DSS to break into their house mid night and take the couples by force.
Our source said the husband Nasiru was released on Friday while his wife Aisha the lactating mother was released on Monday after she was arraigned before a court on a twisted charges of threatening the life of kebbi governor senator Atiku Bagudu,earlier the suspect Aisha was accused of sending a text message to the governor to appeal to him to settle her late father’s death benefits,but in court the state claimed she is threatening his life vie a text message.
As a result she was remanded in prison custody on Friday until she was granted bail that was applied by the lawyer engaged by the family barrister Fingila who is standing for the accused to demand compensation for his clients unlawful detention.
Our source added that they are expecting human rights lawyers to be part of the legal team of Nasiru and Aisha to ensure justice is done on the matter before the court.
