Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, his brother Ahmad Sirika, and their company Enginos Nigeria Limited are facing serious allegations of fraud amounting to over N19.4 billion.

The charges stem from various contracts awarded by the former minister to Enginos Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his younger brother, Abubakar.

The trio is set to appear before Justice Belgore of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Garki, Abuja, today.

This marks the second criminal charge brought against the ex-aviation minister, following his arraignment last Thursday for N2.7 billion fraud. On that occasion, Sirika, along with his daughter, brother-in-law, and Al-Buraq Investment Ltd., pleaded not guilty and were granted bail.

Insiders at the EFCC revealed that the agency has filed a fresh charge against Sirika, this time alleging fraud to the tune of N19.4 billion.

The charges outline instances where Sirika purportedly used his position to confer unfair advantages upon Enginos Nigeria Limited, owned by his brother, by influencing the awarding of lucrative contracts.

These allegations, if proven, constitute serious violations of anti-corruption laws and could result in severe penalties.

The case underscores the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat corruption and hold public officials accountable for their actions.
