The Sokoto Zonal Office of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 paid a working visit to the Commander, Nigerian Air Force 119 Composite Group, Group Captain G.A Bello.

The EFCC team was led on the visit by the Sokoto Zonal Head, Bawa Usman Kaltungo, who disclosed that the mission was for the strengthening of ties with the Nigerian Air Force 119 Composite Group and rekindling of existing collaborations.

He called for greater collaboration and mutual assistance in the areas of intelligence sharing and operational activities.

Responding, Group Captain Bello assured the EFCC of enhanced mutually beneficial collaboration, noting that “the EFCC has succeeded in bringing sanity to Nigeria.

Similarly, Kaltungo led the team on a visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sokoto Command, Commander Mohammad Kaigama Kabo, where he also advocated for stronger ties towards more rapid responses to crimes and criminalities.

In his remarks, the FRSC Sector Commander thanked Kaltungo for the visit and pledged FRSC’s total support to the EFCC in the discharge of its mandate.

While at the Sokoto State Chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association,(NBA), Kaltungo noted the pivotal role lawyers play in the fight against corruption, economic and financial crime, describing lawyers as EFCC’s partners in progress.

In his response, the chairman of the state chapter of the NBA, M.A. Sambo expressed happiness at the visit which he said was the first of its kind from the EFCC to the association in the state. He pledged NBA’s continued cooperation and collaboration with the EFCC.
