The Defence Headquarters on Thursday in Abuja declared eight persons wanted over their roles in the recent killing of 17 military personnel in Okuama community in Delta State.

The list of the wanted persons was released by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba during a briefing on the operations of the Nigerian Armed Forces at the Defence Headquarters Abuja.

The director disclosed that, Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (Aka Amagben), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki; a traditional ruler, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukeywe; Reuben Baru, and Igoli Ebi, are on the wanted list.

Buba enjoined Nigerians especially residents of Delta state to assist the military with credible information that would lead to the arrest of eight persons allegedly responsible for the killing of seventeen soldiers in Okuama community in Delta State.

Buba said the military was determined to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous act in Okuama, adding, “it won’t repeat itself”.

He reiterated the commitment of the military to rescue all kidnapped and abducted victims in Nigeria, as he reeled out the successes of the troops at the various theaters of operations across the country in two weeks.

Also, Buba cautioned the citizens to be circumspect of what he described as propaganda, misinformation and disinformation of the terrorists’ camp.
