The Esan Muslim Community has congratulated Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on his re-election for another four years in office.
In a statement, Chairman, Esan Muslim Community Central Mosque, Mallam Abubakar Ikhuoriah, said, the overwhelming support shown at the poll demonstrated wide acceptability of the governor by the people of the state.
He said, “The Chairman and members of the Esan Muslim Community, Benin City heartily congratulate His Excellency on your landmark victory in the Edo State governorship election which took place on Saturday 19th September, 2020.
“The overwhelming support as shown at the poll is a demonstration of your acceptability by the people of Edo State, which is a result of your good governance during your first term in office.”
Ikhuoriah said: “While we rejoice with you on your re-election, we enjoin you to continue to see Edo State as one in the implementation of your projects and programmes.”
“We pray Allah (SWT) to protect and guide every member of your government in your resolve to make Edo State a better place to live in. We also pray for peace in the state and Nigeria at large, so that we can have a conducive environment for sustainable development. Accept our congratulations,” he added.
