In a tragic turn of events, Nick Imudia, former CEO of Nigerian e-commerce giant Konga and current CEO of D.light, has allegedly taken his own life. Imudia reportedly died on the night of Tuesday, June 25, by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos.

Reports indicate that before his death, Imudia made several poignant phone calls. He contacted his brother in the United States to discuss the distribution of his wealth, and he also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, offering her comforting words and expressing his enduring presence in her life.

His sudden death has left friends, family, and colleagues in shock and searching for answers. Imudia, known for his significant contributions to the tech and business sectors, had a distinguished career that spanned multiple high-profile roles. Before joining D.light, he served as regional director for TCL/Alcatel and GM/MD for Microsoft Device and Services in West and Central Africa.

Originally from the Ika South local government area of Delta State, Imudia’s personal life had seen challenges, including a marriage that ended in divorce due to irreconcilable differences. Despite these struggles, those who knew him well remain stunned and saddened by his untimely death.

Imudia’s impact on the business community and his innovative work in residential solar energy solutions and transformational household products at D.light will be remembered. His passing marks a significant loss, and the reasons behind his tragic decision remain a matter of deep concern and speculation among those he left behind.
