Lagos-Calabar Highway

The Federal Government on Monday temporarily opened the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road to ease traffic congestion in Lekki, Lagos State.

The traffic congestion was caused by a tanker which overturned at Chisco area of Lekki along the dual carriageway

The development was announced by Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, via a press statement.

The statement reads: “The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation wishes to inform motorists that due to a truck accident at the Chisco area, Lekki, the Federal Ministry of Works has approved the opening of the Coastal Road for use pending when normalcy is restored. Motorists are implored to be patient while plying the area.”

It urged motorists to cooperate with traffic officials and exercise caution while navigating the alternative route.
